Our Story

From a young age, Dr. Felix was inspired by his father’s community initiatives. Elder Dimaro’s rise from a local councillor to the Chairman of Ekeremor L.G.A, where he was recognized as the best performing chairman in 1993; and later as  board member of the Niger Delta Development Commission; exemplifies his dedication to the public good. His influence on Dr. Felix was profound, fostering a passion for healthcare and community mobilization.

 

Throughout his university years, Dr. Felix immersed himself in volunteer work, demonstrating leadership and compassion. A notable episode was his successful initiative to rally classmates support for a fellow student and friend with Aplastic Anemia. Despite the subsequent loss of his friend, the experience solidified his resolve to champion acts of kindness, which spurred his involvement in various leadership roles, including president of the medical student association.

 

After graduating, Dr. Felix continued his humanitarian efforts with various non-governmental organizations, culminating in his participation as a Technical Aid Corp volunteer for healthcare strengthening in Liberia, following the crisis occasioned by the Ebola outbreak in Liberia. This international experience underscored the critical need for global collaboration in health crises.

 

The Dimaro Healthcare Foundation, therefore, embodies Dr. Felix’s lifelong dedication to health and well-being, especially in the underserved creeks of the Niger Delta region. With a focus on collaborating with diverse entities, the foundation aims to contribute significantly to the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly health and well-being.

 

Dr. Felix Boye Dimaro, certified in Monitoring and Evaluation, with a master’s degree in Healthcare Management, solicits support and partnership for the foundation’s initiatives. Together with a distinguished board of trustees, Dimaro Healthcare Foundation seeks to drive impactful health interventions for communities in need.
